Equinosis Q.
The Equinosis Q is a series of non-invasive inertial sensor that allow objective veterinary evaluation week after week. This is an amazing rehabilitation tool because it provides objective feedback about how a horse is progressing through the rehabilitation program. We always hope of a linear and progressive return to work but effective rehabilitation requires frequent monitoring and re-evaluation of the plan. The Equinosis Q is utilized weekly to monitor how horses are adapting to progression of workload. If subtle lameness or asymmetry develops then the plan is re-evaluated.
Three sensors are attached to the horse- one on the poll, one on the right front limb, and one on the highest point of the pelvis. The Lameness Locator software can provide mathematical analysis of the gait pattern and identify subtle asymmetries in how the horse moves.
